Meet Our Team
Marcus Jackman
Pastor
The Jackman family came to Utah in January of 2020, rejoicing that the Lord had called them to such a wonderful place & sweet church! Marcus & Susan were married in 2004, and have three children: Ali, Josie, and Elijah.
Pastoring is Marcus’ second career; he worked previously in public radio, both in management and on-air, in Muncie, Indiana. While there, Marcus & Susan felt the call of the Lord to enter ministry full-time, and in 2017 Marcus received his M.Div. through our denomination’s LAMP program. In addition to serving Copper Hills Church, Marcus also records audiobooks for Crossway Publishers and serves as a chaplain for David Weekley Homes. When they relocated to Utah, Susan returned to her field of training in physical therapy and works at Athlecare in Sandy, sharing the Gospel and helping people grow in strength, recover from injuries, and enjoy pain-free living.
As a family, the Jackmans love exploring Utah’s beauties, baking, sports (including golf, baseball, volleyball, running, & biking), and sharing favorite television series together (everything from Andy Griffith to Psych, from Phineas & Ferb to the Great British Baking Show)!
Chad Vizino
Elder
I grew up in a Christian home in northern Indiana where God called me to be His during my late teens. My wife and I married a few years later and we have very much enjoyed growing up together under his care and raising four daughters. We love serving God in the churches where we have been members. I am currently an Elder at Copper Hills Church and I work as a software engineer at a small tech company. When I have a bit of free time, I enjoy endurance sports and spending time in the mountains with family and friends.
Ray Van Eperen
Elder
Worship Leader
Born and raised on Long Island NY, I attended a christian church when very young, but would not characterize my upbringing as Christian. I am an ex-Mormon after 35 years. By the grace of God I became a believer in early 2013. I am currently an Elder, and the Worship Leader here at Copper Hills Church. I am married with 6 children, but the only practicing Christian. I work in software development, love music, cooking, gardening, and riding my motorcycle.
